Entomatic MD on Tractor Spraying Strawberries in Outdoor Greenhouse

The ENTOMATIC™ is now in Australia!

We are proud to announce the successful commissioning of Australia’s first Entomatic™ automated beneficial release system at Berry Sweet in Bullsbrook, WA. Tested on strawberry and raspberry crops, the Entomatic™ uses gentle airflow to release beneficial organisms, ensuring consistent coverage and saving time. The Entomatic™ is ideal for releasing the predatory mites Cucumeris, Californicus, Montdorensis, and Persimilis, as well as Orius.

Berry Grower Anthony Yewers Adopts Entomatic™ for Effective IPM

Berry Sweet was the first grower in Australia to take on and implement successful Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in their hydroponic strawberries in battling Western Flower Thrips. For the past 22 years, Anthony Yewers has undertaken IPM across all three of his family enterprises in Western Australia. His goal is to produce the healthiest and least residual berry produce in the world. Anthony explains, “Releasing the beneficials takes a lot of time. Time is money. And you always wonder if the workers do a good job at releasing the beneficials when nobody is looking. The Entomatic™ gives me peace of mind.”

Assembled and tested by Anton Berns (Hortiworld) and Josh Rogers (Wanneroo Agricultural Machinery) at Berry Sweet, the system is supplied to Australian growers by Biobest through Biological Services. Designed with the grower in mind, the system can be used and installed by anyone with basic mechanical and auto-electrical experience.
